Renting a Motorcycle in July was a Good Idea / Road Trips

The month of July has been busy. I have sent many motorcycles out on the road with people enjoying this summer.

The renting motorcyclists have been all over the country on our motorcycles. The Lake Superior circle has been a favorite this summer with 2 couples from England among the several groups. The western mountain states have also been a destination. Of course the day rides and Mississippi River route are good times.

 A gentleman from Viet Nam rode one of my Harleys up the North Shore of Lake Superior and had a great time visiting Grand Marais.

Road Trips & BMW Adventures

What could be better then a couple motorcycles and 2 days in the middle of the week?

A road trip on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Yamaha V Star 950 were the choices for this couple. They traveled along the Mississippi River south to Winona, Minnesota. This is a favorite trip for many riders on any week-end, the middle of the week is a good time to avoid the crowds. My rental riders were from out of town and they really enjoyed their time on the motorcycles in Minnesota.

 My red 2011 BMW R1200 GS spent it's last week in the rental fleet. The replacement is a brand new 2013  BMW R1200 GS. It is the Rally Edition, with striking white body work and a brilliant red frame. Check it out!

Minneapolis Eaglerider Motorcycle Riding / June 17th - 23rd in Review

Despite a few rain clouds hanging over Minneapolis this week the motorcycle riding was good. Having a good set of rain gear is what all riders should carry with them. Had a couple good rides in the rain this week. 

 A late night stop at a Perkins Restaurant is a good plan while on the road.

 A Father and Son trip on the Honda Shadow 750 and the Yamaha 950 V Star was an adventure.

They traveled up to Duluth on Lake Superior, then took back roads back home. They had a bit of rain on the way back that made their trip  a challenge. They were all smiles as they told me the story.

Jackson Hole Wyoming on a BMW R1200GS

Customer packing up and loaded. Beginning his trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with his buddy. They will be on a 7 day trip and arrive at the Jackson Hole EagleRider next Saturday. Seven days on a BMW 1200 GS, living the life.

He flew into the Minneapolis Int. Airport, took a cab straight to my Mpls/St Paul EagleRider location. He packed up and was on the Motorcycle in a few quick hours after arriving in Minneapolis.

 Both riders on adventure motorcycles ready to roll!

The English riders are back after exploring Minnesota on the bikes. They look to have had a great trip.

 Couple from Italy were all smiles after 14 days on an EagleRider motorcycle. They traveled across Upper Michigan into Canada. They visited Kenora, Ontario on the Canadian side of Lake of the Woods before heading back south to Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This was a bit of an International week. It is always interesting listening to their stories of the trips and be a part of the memories that they will have of the adventure.

The best part of my job is to help Motorcyclists get on the road for a trip or just a day of riding. A common theme is the excitement of their adventure and to be able to ride motorcycles that they may not have had a chance to do otherwise.
